The SandboxHome security system has raised $150,000 (£95,000) on Indiegogo in just 14 days of funding, despite its goal only being $50,000.

The US-based product is a full package of security kit, including door and window sensors that alert you when an intruder enters, plus two HD security cameras. It can also detect unusual heat sources in your home, making sure your home is always safe and secure from threats.

It all syncs together in a smartphone or computer-based application, with text, sound, photo and video alerts if any activity is detected at your house.

The standard package includes:

  • A doorbell camera so you can check who’s at the door before answering
  • Two HD cameras for monitoring inside of your home, allowing you to watch footage at any time
  • Five sensors to put on doors and windows around the home
  • Smartphones apps and computer software for monitoring and alerts
  • Optional six months of 24/7 professional home monitoring by the company’s operators

You can buy add-ons such as extra doorbells, cameras or sensors for a fraction of the RRP if you buy them during the Indiegogo campaign, although you will also need to but the system before it’s fit for use.

Many of the system options have sold out, but at the time of writing, there are still five full packages to get your hands on, for a reduced cost of $375 (£240), due to ship in March next year. Once the SandboxHome system hits the shelves, it’ll cost $499 (£315).

The only other option, aside from the extra peripherals, is the beta tester package that costs $599 (£380), duo at a price of $700 (£440) and ten-pack ($3,350, £2,100), the latter of which is designed for partner and resellers.

The campaign ends on November 24, so if you are interested in supporting the campaign and protecting your home, we suggest you head to the funding page to buy the pack before they completely sell out!
