Although nothing can make up for the experience of getting on the roads and controlling a car in the flesh when you’re learning to drive, it’s also important to get advice from those who know best – driving instructors.

Lesson Baba has been described as ‘the Uber for driving and the learners community’, giving you on-demand access to driving instructors around the country when you need it.

Not only does the service put you in touch with driving instructors for advice, it will also enable you to book the physical lessons that meet your needs most, such as close to where you live or learn more about their experience as a driving instructor.

You can also compare prices so there aren’t any extra surprises when it comes to paying for your lessons.

For driving instructors, the service ensures they are able to fill up their time with driving lessons rather than missing out on cash when they have gaps in their day. It additionally saves on extra fees associated with working for a franchise – what they charge is what they get in their pocket.

The company said: “LessonBaba plans to take the learner driving industry by storm. Instead of developing another web based price aggregator website, we wanted to do something different, something unique, something that will change the landscape of the industry forever. So we decided to come up with a solution to create a marketplace platform to service the needs of learners and driving instructors.”

Lesson Baba will make money by charging a monthly fee to driving instructors of £20 and will charge 15 per cent on all payment transactions that take place on the platform. The company will also host various affiliate marketing campaigns such for products such as car insurance, travel insurance and breakdown cover too.

Lesson Baba is appealing for £46,500 in exchange for seven per cent equity and the campaign ends on Seedrs in August.
